Park closure

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will be temporarily closed on Friday 28 August 2026 from 6 - 11 am (ACST) for the funeral of a senior Aṉangu woman. Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will re-open at 11 am on Saturday 27 June.

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park re-opened to visitors at 12:00 pm today Thursday 6 August with the full support of the Muṯitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC).

Parks Australia continues to have measures in place at Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park to protect staff, visitors and the Muṯitjulu community.
