Park closure

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will be closed until 2 pm on Thursday 25 June and all day on Friday 26 June due to a funeral and memorial service following the passing of a senior Aṉangu woman. Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will re-open at 6.30 am on Saturday 27 June.

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park is Aboriginal land, jointly managed by its Aṉangu Traditional Owners and Parks Australia.

The park, 1,325 square kilometres in size, is in the spiritual heart of Australia’s Red Centre in the Northern Territory, about 450 kilometres southwest of Alice Springs by road.

People from all over the world come to visit the World Heritage listed park, marvelling at its geological wonders, cultural significance and natural beauty.
