On 28 March 2025 the government assumed a Caretaker role. Information on websites maintained by Parks Australia will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions until after the conclusion of the caretaker period.

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park re-opened to visitors at 12:00 pm today Thursday 6 August with the full support of the Muṯitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC).

Parks Australia continues to have measures in place at Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park to protect staff, visitors and the Muṯitjulu community.
