Park closure

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will be temporarily closed on Friday 28 August 2026 from 6 - 11 am (ACST) for the funeral of a senior Aṉangu woman. Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will re-open at 11 am on Friday 28 August.

The Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park Cultural Centre will be closed on Friday 16 May out of respect for the passing of a senior Aṉangu community member. 

This closure includes the Maraku Arts and Walkatjara Art galleries, Nintiringkupai Information Room, the Tjukurpa Tunnel and Ininti Café and Souvenirs. 

As the Ininti Café will be closed, visitors should ensure they bring plenty of food and drink when visiting the park. 

Businesses at Ayers Rock Resort will be trading with food and drink available for purchase before entering the park. 

The toilet block at the Cultural Centre will remain open as will the rest of the park, and all scheduled walks and activities will go ahead. 

Our friendly park entry station staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. 

The Cultural Centre will reopen at 7 am on Saturday 17 May.
