Park closure

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will be closed until 2 pm on Thursday 25 June and all day on Friday 26 June due to a funeral and memorial service following the passing of a senior Aṉangu woman. Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park will re-open at 6.30 am on Saturday 27 June.

Visitors are advised that there will be closures in place at Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park on Thursday 25 June and all of Friday 26 June for Sorry Business including a funeral and memorial services, following the passing of a senior Aṉangu woman. 

This is in line with cultural practice and the wishes of Aṉangu Traditional Owners and community, the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Board of Management, and the Muṯitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation. 

On Thursday 25 June, the national park, including the entry station, will be closed until 2 pm. 

On Friday 26 June, the national park will be closed all day. 

Sorry Business is an important grieving process when someone passes and includes traditional ceremonies and practices.
