Preparing for your school visit
Before you visit, prepare for your trip by exploring our information and resources.
Items for students
- closed, non-slip sole, shoes are recommended
- broad brim sun hats are recommended all year round
- summer: sun hats, sunscreen, long light weight clothing, carry water and seek shade
- wet weather: waterproof clothing
- cold weather: layered and warm clothing
- optional: head net to protect yourself from flies and other insects.
Items for teachers
- first-aid kit
- camera
- large rubbish bag to take rubbish out of the park
- printed map and safety information.
Payments
Invoices are sent directly to your school or bus company through the Parks Australia Trade Portal immediately following your visit to the National Park.
Invoices must be paid within 7 days. Payment method is credit card.
Teacher / student ratios
Duty of care remains with teachers at all times. Please ensure a minimum 1:15 teacher/student ratio during your visit.
Bookings
Please make all bookings at least two weeks in advance, including teacher led visits.
This enables us to make contact with you if required and facilitate emergency evacuation if necessary. To apply for exemption on entry fees and/or book an education activity, please visit For schools - DCCEEW and fill in the online application.
