Snack breaks / lunch
The are several areas throughout the park with wiltjas (shelters) and seating that are great for lunches and breaks. The picnic area behind the Cultural Centre has picnic tables, gas barbecues, a view of Uluṟu and is a great spot for a meal in the great outdoors.
Rubbish

We request that you take your rubbish with you, following the ‘Leave No Trace’ principle.
Evaluation and feedback
Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park values your feedback. Please send any feedback on your visit to UluruEducation@dcceew.gov.au.
Visitor sustainability
You are one of a large number of visitors the park receives every year. Minimising your impact will help protect this special place for the future. Enjoy your visit sustainably by:
- Staying on track – Each footprint in the sand may last many weeks and desert plants are fragile when disturbed. Walking or driving off track can spread weed seeds and collapse underground burrows. Please stay on the roads and tracks.
- Only take photographs – the rocks and sand belong here at this place. For a truly unique and beautiful souvenir, visit the art galleries at the Cultural Centre. You will be helping support local Aboriginal communities.
- Protect plants – please do not use tree branches as fly swats! Ininti Café at the Cultural Centre sells fly nets and a natural fly cream. These products work against flies and also make interesting souvenirs.
- Keep wildlife wild – please do not feed any wild animals. Your food may make wildlife sick and may cause them to lose their wild instincts.
- Leave firewood outside – please do not bring firewood collected elsewhere inside the National Park. The wood may harbour unwanted pests and weed seeds.
- Plan your day – toilets are only provided at the Cultural Centre, Talinguṟu Nyakunytjaku (Sunrise), Mala Carpark, Kuniya Piti, Bus Sunset and Kata Tjuṯa sunset viewing area.
- Yellow lines – no-stopping zones are painted on the road with yellow lines. By stopping only in areas without yellow lines, you will avoid mistakenly photographing sensitive sites, while staying safe on the road.
